Danni said after a pause, swallowing, looking down at the ice instantly, wishing Giovanni had warned him about all of this, but no, his maker had said nothing! Nuthing! Either he wanted revenge on him or…ooo, Danni had probably been talking too much for him to get a word in edgeways. You shouldn’t have drunk that much, you know it always screws you up. Yeah but I needed it to feel better. Other people don’t rely on alcohol!! Oh wait, they do, maybe you weren’t in the wrong then. But what you’re gonna say to her is a totally different matter. Don’t fuck this up or she’ll kill you, send hunters after you or some weird shit like that, you know what happened with the last girl.
Those were the various different voices in his head, though they were all his, he wasn’t that mad, only to a certain degree. He couldn’t say he didn’t mean it, because he might have meant it at the time, he couldn’t say sorry, ‘cause he would be apologizing for something he couldn’t remember, and she would think that was crap of him anyway. He really didn’t know what to do, and having been absent of a normal relationship for many decades, quite possibly centuries, he wasn’t sure what he was ‘supposed’ to say.

Roxy's heart felt like it was breaking more and more when she heard Danni's words, or lack thereof. Why couldn't she just get a normal boyfriend, who she wouldn't have to put up with this with?!
Roxy only sat there for a moment longer. She then got up, and skated to where the exit of the ice was, but not before tripping on her toe pick. Roxy fell to the ice, palms first. Pain shot up her left arm, but it didn't slow her down. Roxy got back up and walked onto the ground, untying her skates and pulling on her slip-on Vans. Running as fast as she could, Roxy ran deep into the woods, before tripping and falling again on an uprooted tree.
"Oomph!" She exclaimed as she fell to the ground. She looked around her through teary, blurry eyes, wondering where she was. She was surrounded by dense trees, allowing some moonlight to filter in. Roxy sat herself up and leaned up against a thick tree trunk, wrapping her right arm around her knees, letting her left one hang to her side. Roxy put her forehead to her kneecaps, feeling more tears slip down her porcelain cheeks. Her left wrist was definitely jammed, Roxy didn't doubt that.
But, she didn't care. The emotional blow she had just received was enough to send her into a state of shock. Roxy wasn't good with emotions; she really wasn't. This was way too much, all contradicting itself.

He looked up instantly as she got up and skated to the edge of the rink, concern flashing in his eyes as she fell over. Instantly he got up clumsily from where he was, but she had already pulls on her regular shoes and was running into the woods. Had she run into the direction of the path where the park was, he might have disappeared and left her till tomorrow night, or at least left it a few hours, but he was guessing she might get lost.
How was he to know? She might not get lost, and although he guessed she probably wanted her own space, he decided to hang around for a bit, he could just make sure she wasn’t stuck out here all night. With no hurry in his movements, he skated to the edge of the rink, leaning against the wall that surrounded it, letting his grip on the ice slip every so often, just for something for him to do. Perhaps his maker would turn up and lecture him, though he doubted it, he couldn’t feel his presence right now, so he was probably just at home, reading or something.

Roxy was now full-out crying her eyes out. She sat there, her right leg laying on the ground straight, her left leg bent and leaned against the trunk of the fallen tree she had stumbled over.
With a lot of frustration, Roxy let out a very loud, very high-pitched scream. How could he say that to her? He didn't understand her. No one ever would.
As she usually did when she got upset, Roxy started talking to herself very loud, in between sobs.
"How could he DO THAT?! He is SO STUPID. SOMEONE PRETTIER THAN ME!? And he calls ME a whore?! He goes out, gets drunk as HELL, and I take him home to MY apartment, and let him stay there so he doesn't get his ass kicked by some idiot, and what does he tell me?! That he was drinking and dancing with someone PRETTIER THAN ME?!" Roxy let out another high-pitched cry of frustration and clutched her head, crying facing down, letting her tears fall onto the ground, looking very curled up and hunched over.

With better hearing than a bat, he glanced up when he heard her scream, a sort of half shocked, half worried look spreading over his face. Though he was worrying, someone from the outside of their relationship would have found his behaviour hilarious, how he was kind of confused. Undoing his skates and pulling on his boots that he had been wearing before, he dumped the skates, about to venture quietly into the woods, when he felt Giovanni’s hand on his shoulder, who had crept up on him.
“Let me go talk to her, she’ll probably have a fit if you do turn up, and hate you if you don’t.” Danni looked unsure for a moment, but then agreed, putting his trust in his maker not to piss Roxy off, and he knew he wouldn’t hurt her. Giovanni went off into the woods, a calm and quiet energy as always, and crouched down close to Roxy, clearing his throat, so as not to suddenly surprise her. “Roxy? Would you rather I left you alone or would you like to talk?” Giovanni was soft and patient, so much so that it would be a surprise to think that he was once human.

Roxy had been sitting there, ranting on and on quietly to herself, tears steadily streaming down her face. She had only quieted down when she heard Giovanni's soft voice in front of her. She looked up, slightly embarrassed. If he had heard that, which he very probably did, Roxy would be inwardly mad at herself, but she dismissed it.
"It doesn't matter," she said softly, sniffling once, "I'm really sorry you have to deal with this. You don't have to. I'll be fine." Roxy smiled faintly up at him, hoping it would make him go away.

What was it with humans? They were always so sensitive, and anyway, she had started it with Lestat, he had done nothing but be a witness, and then be a pissed off boyfriend. If she had just dumped him there and then, well...he would be heart broken for a couple of weeks, but then he would get over it when he found another, lesser substitute to play with. But, with the innocent thoughts of someone who never got to experience life properly, he didn't know what to do, either she loved him or she didn't, but then again...it was all so complicated.

Giovanni smiled sympathetically as he saw Roxy look up at him, reminded of all the times he had talked with Danni like this because of the look on her face, though Danni was never embarrassed about his emotions, he barely knew what the word embarrassed meant. Not that he was intending to bother her, but he knew that a lot of people tried to get you to go away when really they wanted to talk, they just wouldn't admit it. "I.. Is it what he said to you that hurts?" The way he said it was so sympathetic and quietly questioning, it was quite hard to be annoyed at him, though if she actually told him to go away, he would respect her privacy and leave.
"Can't I see if she's alright?" Danni asked his maker telepathically, for the moment not moving from where he was standing. "No. Give me a minute, or else Danni." Giovanni's tone indicated that his words were not as harsh as they seemed. "Or what? You'll kill me agaaiin?" He teased, pissed from time to time at Giovanni for no good reason.

Roxy sighed and looked up, listening to what Giovanni was saying.
"..Y-" she started to say. Danni's words starting echoing in her head over and over, each time getting louder, and somehow, more mean, "Yes."
Someone prettier than you...
Roxy sniffled and sighed.
''And it's not just that. It's the fact that, after all we've been through recently...I could just tell that he wanted me to die, you know? And then last night, him being drunk. He said somethings... And then he takes me here, to ice skate, and he tells me he loves me. It's just so contradicting."
